There is a sea between who we were and who we are becoming. No map names it. No compass can shorten it. It is crossed by faith alone. The shore we left behind calls to us in familiar voices, asking us to return to versions of ourselves that no longer fit. Ahead, there is only mist, a promise hidden inside uncertainty. so we learn that courage is not loud. Sometimes it is only raising the sails again beneath a sky that refuses to brighten. Sometimes it is trusting that the horizon exists even when we cannot see it. Perhaps becoming was never meant to feel like certainty. Perhaps it was always this lonely, faithful crossing where the old self slowly disappears into the fog, and the new one is born not in the harbor, but somewhere out on the open water, where hope is the only thing still catching the wind.
